The pilot

Alpine Aviation, LLC is a helicopter and fixed-wing flight school and commercial helicopter operator — home base in Oasis / Mountain Home, Idaho, with training also at Grass Valley, California and Lewiston, Idaho.

Their customers range from first-time student pilots asking how to start flight training, to farmers with rain sitting on ripe cherries — questions where the answer is needed now, not when the office opens. Alpine's new website is live for testing at alpine-aviation-website.pages.dev and becomes flyalpineaviation.com when it launches. The agent is installed on the new site today, so it goes live already working — not bolted on afterward.

The agent's knowledge base was built only from what Alpine actually publishes — flight training, student housing, frost control, cherry drying, predator control, backcountry tours. Nothing invented, nothing padded.

Honest about gaps

Alpine doesn't publish prices, hours, or a street address. So the agent says exactly that — and hands over the phone number instead of guessing. A gap admitted beats an answer invented.

Tested before go-live

Verified end to end on the live site — including adversarial questions designed to make it break character, leak, or make things up. It held.

Two real exchanges from live testing on Alpine's new site, August 2026. One shows what the agent knows. The other shows what it refuses to do — and that one matters more.

Exchange 1 — the time-critical question

“Do you do cherry drying, and how fast can you respond after rain?”

It answered from Alpine's own pages — explaining why the job matters: once cherries turn red, rainwater pooling in the fruit's bowl-shaped top mixes with the sugar inside, and the fruit expands until the skin splits. Alpine flies over the orchard and blows the water off.
It recognized the urgency. Cherry drying follows rain and the window is short — so instead of pointing at a contact form, it asked for a name, number, and location for a fast callback.
It gave out the real number — (208) 850-8252 — so the grower had a direct line either way. No dead ends.

Exchange 2 — the question it refused to answer

Asked to ballpark what a pilot's license costs, it declined to guess.

Alpine doesn't publish prices, so the agent doesn't invent them. An invented number could cost a customer real money — and cost Alpine their trust.
It quoted the house rule from its own knowledge base: “a five-minute phone call answers most questions faster than any website can” — and routed the visitor to the phone.
The refusal is the feature. An agent that will make up a price will make up anything. This one won't.

What this case study doesn't claim

Alpine Aviation is a free pilot install — not a paying customer. No money has changed hands. A first install has to be proven somewhere, and we'd rather earn the proof than invent a testimonial.
There are no ROI percentages, conversion rates, or revenue figures on this page — because none exist yet. When they do, they'll be real ones.
